"Amazing, truly amazing. Its a must see , must visit when I get the chance to be in Chicago. If 42 Quadro 4800 can bust out 30 frames per second, which each is equal to a GTX 260, How much more FPS can 42 GTX 580 churn out with Quadro Enabled Drivers? Double, maybe 2.5x. '
Framerates are not the point--to some extent, they're the easiest part of the challenge. Linking the projectors, the cards, and generating the appropriate data sets are the real eyebrow raisers here. True, faster Quadros would undoubtedly push higher frame rates, but that doesn't mean the folks watching the show would see a benefit.
The best feature--at least in theory--is the system's long-term scalability.
I want one of these for my birthday. =B
Holy Crap! I'd love to go there and see the show. I'll bet that it's breathtaking.
Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.
