Whoa there fella, is that a Transformer you have there in your pocket, or are you sporting a raging...oh, it is a Transformers USB stick! Lucky guess, except that we cheated and read Mimobot's press release introducing its new USB drives featuring retro Transfomers styling.

"We are stoked to welcome the iconic Transformers characters Optimus Prime and Megatron to the Mimobot family," said Evan Blaustein, CEO of Mimoco. "We hope fans worldwide enjoy the collaboration which also features our most extensive preloaded media suite to date."

The funky looking drives are shipping now in2GB ($23), 4GB ($28), 8GB ($45), and 16GB ($60) capacities and come with character-specific content including wallpapers, icons, avatars, screensavers, digital editions of comics, and other digital extras.

I have never seen a Mimobot drive that I liked.

This, on the other hand, is awesome (or would be, if it weren't so ridiculously expensive):

That's pretty cool! I worry that I might lose the cap and end up with a funny looking Transformer. :)

Are they USB 3.0? 2.0?

I agree with omegadraco they are silly looking. Kinda reminds me of a pez dispenser.

I think you and I are the only ones who remember the Go bots evil:P Although I think Petter Jackson is doing a high tech Gobots movie with Harry Knowls on the moped?

I really liked the star wars drives, they went pretty quickly as well. These are probably just being rolled out for the new movie. I guess now that more school kids need these drives it makes sense to start marketing to them.

I have so got to buy one and hook it up in a public place so that everybody will see. That thing is cool.
