Another week, another notebook! Acer has just rolled out yet another new laptop, the TravelMate 5760. This one's equipped with a 2nd-gen Core i processor, NVIDIA Optimus graphics, ntel Anti-Theft technology and Absolute Data Protection (ADP) by Absolute Software. With built-in Anti-Theft technology, if the notebook is lost or stolen users can remotely delete files, freeze or lock it. During lock down the notebook is inoperable and access to encrypted data is disabled. Once the computer is recovered, it can be easily unlocked. Plus, ADP allows users to track their computer if it's lost or stolen.

Needless to say, this one caters to the mobile professional. It also includes Acer Backup Manager, which keeps valuable data protected also from accidents or crashes, allowing to back up data and files at ease, while Acer eRecovery Management provides recovery on-demand for complete peace of mind. Other specs include a 15.6" LED-backlit display, a 750GB HDD, DVD Super Multi double-layer drive and integrated multi-in-1 card reader. There's also 8GB of DDR3 RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and integrated 3G.

Looking to get one? It'll ship in mid-July for £379.

Nice price roughly $600 U.S. dollars especially considering all the security features it offers. I am surprised that I don't see a fingerprint reader on it with all the other security features it has.

mmm looks like it has enough potential in a crowded 600 laptop market kinda like a hybrid with the size ans specs .would have to see a bit more in a review to get a better impression. seems like a 'tweener' to me right now for size ans specs.
