It is pretty and fast... I love the fact that these are built in the U.S.A. as I like to support local businesses whenever possible. I don't know the OWC brand very well but would certainly consider this drive once the prices come down and SSDs become standard equipment.
oh the waiting game... OWC gives great warranties (5 years on most). I haven't had a problem with my external hdd.

That is nice jonation you don't see a 5 year warranty on many things across the board, so it is very nice to see it on an SSD, especially one made in America! I saw this drive the other day and was interested but I thought they were more expensive. For this to be the first I have heard of the company to see a drive at this price is great, much less with performance numbers as well as capacity like that at the listed prices.
"I like the All American feel and look of this SSD, and the price of $480 is competitive with the OCZ Vertex 3 240GB which last time I checked , was at $499, Either way, the warranty is great too.
My first impression of these SSDs were that were going to be a bit more expensive ,Surprised that the actual specs are about the same as he OCZs. Interesting to know about the 5 year warranty that is provided, maybe because of some higher grade components.Could very well be, & would feel really good anount supporting a US co. with my purchasing dollars
Would really like to see them do well with the lineup of SSDs and no one needs to question the warranty for at least 5 years. If so OWC stands solidly behind it.
"Don't Panic ! 'cause HH got's your back!"
"Built with the highest quality components."
I wonder how long they'll last for...
"The future starts with you; now start posting more!"
This is great - Made in the USA, better components, 5 year warranty, faster read and write speeds than the Crucial SSD I currently have.
This will definitely be on my list for my next system.
Ive never heard of OWC but this certainly sounds nice, warranty and all. Always nice to have more choices, too bad i have to build on a budget. SSD's still arent in my affordable range yet, hopefully advancements in the next few years will bring prices down.
I've always planned to go with Intel or OCZ, but this is a company to keep an eye on for SSDs, as mentioned, the warranty is very attractive, and the price/specs are good. Still waiting for SSDs to come down in price and increase in capacity thought before I buy.
