Laptop is pretty beast and stands up pretty well in all the benchmarks. I would prefer the touch-pad a little more center but overall design is nice. Good review on this one as usual.
"I have the power!!"
i own the older version of this and i must say after going threw asus and dells like no other this laptop will be sticking with me for a while this is a beast laptop for anyone to own not only gamers i would check it out before buying anything else.
I'm still using an ASUS G73 with AMD 5970m and have yet to find something that it doesn't handle. These ASUS and MSI laptops seem very competative for features across the board.

Yes it's me, original account still glitched Dave! Marco! Help!!!
"This beast of a laptop looks great, its a formidable machine. I have one question though, to the reviewer, How would you rate the screen quality performance, its one important part that was left. Is it crisp and sharp at factory default settings or did you have to do some tweaking, and also, were off angle views good ?
-Optimus
That is one hell of a machine, 12GB of memory in a laptop... I could imagine that this thing would work great for doing some 3D rendering.
On first impression I like this laptop quite a bit and would certainly recommend it .A short time ago member here in HH may have been considering this model or similar for about the same cash.At these prices a laptop that can be easily configed to suit can be had at Maingear and no bloatware, But ths MSI looks like a sweet machine for the price.
Sure the specs are great and the battery life is do-able for performer like this one from MSI. Would have to really see the screen and get the feel of it .& would not hesitate to put on a short-list to consider.
"Don't Panic ! 'cause HH got's your back!"
Specs are great as well as the benchmarks. Is it really necessary for mobile computer makers to put all those logo stickers on such a beautiful piece of hardware? :p
Never stop learning... until you're dead.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
Optimus - I was pleased with the overall screen performance. Also, the viewing angles are excellent.
"Good to know, in the past, at Newegg , people who bough MSI gaming laptops were complaining about the sub-par screen quality and resolution. That was one of my main concerns with the new generation, so I see they have stepped up their game, thanks for the reply.
I think the sound lights would work well for gaming where the enemy might be firing at you but you cannot tell where the shot is coming from.
Or a racing game where you are about to be passed but on what side? The lights might assist you.
I look at it like a poor man's eyefiniti.
Sweet specs....except for the price!
This seems like something you buy and stays flashy for about six months, then turns in to that old Commodore 64 that sits in the corner with nothing but old porn loaded on it, by the same time next year?
@ that price they could have at least made it a 17 incher?
The outside design is sweet as well!
