You're used to playing Angry Birds on your smartphone, tablet and even your PC and Mac, but have you ever imagined what it would be like to fling these creatures across your swank living room HDTV? You won't have to wonder much longer. Roku, makers of the self-titled set-top box, and Rovio, creator of the uber popular cash cow known as Angry Birds, inked a deal to bring the first Angry Birds experience to the TV.

Under terms of the deal, Roku will offer Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio videogames, as well as launch an Angry Birds video channel featuring animated shorts based on the game, and sell Angry Birds merchandise, all via the Roku Channel Store.

"Angry Birds is the most popular and fastest growing casual game yet it has been trapped on mobile devices. We believe there’s a huge market for games like these on the TV," said Roku Founder and CEO Anthony Wood. "Just as we were first to enable Netflix to stream instantly to the TV, we intend to be the catalyst for transforming the way people play casual games—starting with Angry Birds—on the biggest screen in the home."

We have no doubt Roku is right. Angry Birds has been nothing short of a runaway success with more than 200 million downloads across all platforms, and more than three million units of Angry Birds merchandise sold to consumers in over 100 countries.

They should make it work with kinect, have to throw yourself to play the game :P. But ya having it on a tv is a bit lame and using a remote to play it?
