AOC Aire Black E2243FWK LED Monitor ReviewAOC recently introduced the Aire Black LED monitor line. Featuring a razor-thin profile and an attractive glossy-black finish, these new monitors are aimed at business professionals and home users looking for an affordable display that doesn't look cheap. The one we're looking at today is AOC's 22-inch model, the $149 E2243FWK, though the Aire Black series also comes in 20-inch (E2043FK, $129) and 23-inch (E2343FK, $179) flavors as well, all of which carry budget price tags. How is it that AOC can launch an LED monitor line at such a low cost? Let's find out...

"Punch the letters 'AOC' into Google and they're not even the first entry, not at the time of this writing anyway (the No. 1 spot belongs to Age of Conan)."

That, along with the LED backlighting, are how they're able to make the screen so thin...

It's a 22" screen for $149.00, so I could overlook some irregularities. The wall mount is cool too.

Very good and concise review. I am currently considering another monitor and would think about getting this one. I must say I am leaning towards 3D though but cost is a tad high for those still.

Pretty hard to beat the bang for buck with this one.

Ah, so i bought the monitor on the 27th. I returned it today. For the Price its TOTALLY worth it!

My reasoning for returning it.... My primary monitor is an Acer H213H... and this AOC monitor, even with a privacy filter is BRIGHT!!!. Makes my acers white-reproduction look slightly yellowish hahaha.

The difference was mind blowing!! even at the lowest setting. if only the AOC monitor had a HDMI input, it be a keeper!!

was def interested in giving this screen a real close look and compare to a an Asus.VH2424H

not sure what I may decide at this time  have to go out and and get some driveway blacktop sealer which is  much easier  to decide

Yeah, A buck80 for a 23 incher! not bad.

Although I need a 27 or higher for that price?

Kinda have to keep an eye on the Fry's ads every week, I am sure it wont be long for the AOC 27 to drop to that price.

seriously looking at this monitor again and it is priced at $160.00 at newegg

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160062

Did anyone come across one and use one ? I recall coolice 's remarks ..the clarity is important and the being able to have a somewhat reliable tilt because of the various lighting conditions in my digs.aslo considering some others from Asus for a bit more cash at 24"
