Great review! looks like a nice little machine, like you said it would have been a little better with usb3 but that isn't a deal breaker. I'm not sure how i feel about the ultra portables without the optical drive, I don't use mine very often but I do every once in a while(installing things and reformatting); I guess there is always a work around with a jump drive or an external drive.
PS. ...On the futuremark page in the comparison chart you have it listed as a 11.6" screen instead of the 13.4" and on that same note the chart says its running windows 7 pro instead of home premium.
Now you're just mashing it!
