Yeah Virgin Mobile being Sprints cheap side phone service this really makes sense to me business wise. Kinda stink the regular customers cannot have it now, but thats the way the cookie crumbles I guess.
screw all these talk plans... they need to do something about getting MAN's/WAN's set up so everyone can have internet and have it more accessably :)
Although I don't love the 2-year contract model, there are a couple of factors that make it the lesser of all evils for me:
1. You get a cheaper handset as well as better selection of the "best" handsets available.
2. Coverage (at least in my area and places I regularly travel) is better with one of the top four carriers than with prepaid carriers in my area.
Well all of the major carriers have a value based service to which should use the same towers.
HHGrrl, Firstly; the handset will never be cheaper. The cost of the handset merely gets attributed to your monthly contract cost. This, over two years never works out to a cheap handset. Secondly, one of the very attractive aspects of signing up through a service such as tracfone, is that they offer exactly the same coverage that both AT&T, and Verizon offer.
