Just one more thing they get to charge us for, and the cell companies have to be loving all of this technology. $39.99 a month for your car to have a data connection anyone?
how about improving key fobs and over-all security. Mine won't unlock my car when I'm next to it.

They already charge you for some navi services too, I wonder how much they will add for data. It would be pretty cool to have internet radio though or streaming netflix for long trips.
Now you're just mashing it!
I like the connectivity and some of the functionality this can provide. Here's hoping there are at least some components of it that are free. I'd rather not add another monthly fee to my budget!
More stuff to distract drivers. I certainly hope Microsoft doesn't have anything to do with the main computer system or there's gonna be some really out of control cars.
This is one of the things I have been wondering about in a different area though. This is using a smart phone as a digital radio. While I can see doing it through stored data I wonder how much data traffic streaming really incurs. It would seemingly be huge as it is a constant flow of data no matter how small. This car tech would do the same thing data all the time, which with any cellular provider would cost money, and most likely lots of it.
