The big difference between WD and Seagate enterprise drive solutions is that Seagate didn't cripple Raid compatibility in their line of low cost drives. Yes, they both offer enterprise class solutions, but with WD you're forced into paying a huge price premium if you're in the market for NAS drives or even a simple software RAID solution in a PC.
This makes it easy to just buy from Seagate.
