Sen. Al Franken takes the floor to talk about tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.
Minnesota should be proud of this guy and the job he's doing for them. People joked about a comedian going to congress when he won his election, but there is nobody there that's more serious than him.
Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.
Thanks for sharing and posting this realneil
I am very proud of him and believe he speaks for me.
going to share this clip elsewhere as well
"Don't Panic ! 'cause HH got's your back!"
rrplay:I am very proud of him
I don't blame you,..... he's impressive considering how much trash people talked about him.
His days of being a comedian are long gone as far as I can see. You guys ended up with a Pit Bull to represent you it seems.
yep I know you do not blame me
What I admired most of his address was how calmly he asked them 'What are we doing"
how eloquently he presented the message many are asking them
just voting in IL can get one blood a boiling

That recount fiasco was ridiculous at best. His opponent knew that he didn't win the election, but he did everything he could to keep Franken out of the office for as long as he could, trying to prevent a Democratic majority that they already had. The guy had support from many directions, and from all over the country from people at all levels, who normally don't have JACK to do with your state. It was political meddling at it's finest.
Mr. Franken carried himself well throughout the entire mess and when it was over, he didn't gloat, he just went straight to work. He has shown a surprising understanding of the proper way to conduct our nation's business, and has repeatedly stopped ongoing deliberations to point out that it was being done the wrong way procedurally, and that "We Have To Do This The Correct Way".
I love it.
I don't blame you for being proud of him I should have said.
Fraken tells it like it is.
Obama is a shrewd politician making calculated compromises because that 0.1% does a whole lot of lobbying, campaign finance, and has some fairly influential mouthpieces.
I wish it weren't necessary, and wonder if it really is. Politics, bleh.
