I think that if it offers better than SSD performance with HDD capacities it will be totally out of reach financially for mainstream users, for about as long as SSD's in any usable capacity have been so far.
But it IS good to see such wondrous progress being made!

Hey; realneil, I think you missed the part where it said it would also be more affordable than current SSD technology. A three year window is not very long either.
