Welcome to the inaugural episode of “Two and a Half Geeks”, our re-vamped, weekly video podcast. In addition to our new look (which is still being tweaked!), in this episode we talk about the performance of AMD’s upcoming Zacate APU and Woz’s “quote” that Android is going to rule the world. We also go hands on with one of Apple’s new Macbook Air systems and discuss hacking the recently released Microsoft Kinect...

FreeJet:"Two and a Half Geeks"
It's a good name for the podcast and a nice resolution to the contest. Again, I congratulate you FreeJet, It's well deserved.
Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.
lol, Freejet... too funny man.

Hey, question. What do you guys think about the auto-play functionality when you hit this page. Cool or annoying?
A little of both. Cool that it plays the podcast by itself, but annoying because i keep hearing an allstate ad
I like to hit the play button personally
i7 950 - ASUS Rampage 3 Extreme - ASUS GTX 570 - AZZA Hurricane - 6 GB Corsair 1600 - Corsair AX750 - WD 1tb black Thank You HH!!!!!!
AMD 1090T - MSI 890FXA-GD70 - XFX HD5850 x2 - CM Storm Scout - 8GB Kingston HyperX 1600 - Corsair HX850 - Sammy spinpoint f3
The auto-play function is ok, But the auto-page reloading script is a pain when watching the podcast , cause at around 3/4 way thru the vid , it kicks in, so I always had to reload or hit the link directly to Viddler and watch it there. But I Got Used to it.
Now, changing the subject ,I would like to Request to see more video reviews please. I mean coincidentally I noticed in the intro, a part from Marco's review of the Alienware M17x notebook that I saw in Youtube and therefore because of that vid, I became a HotHardware fan ever since, and of course one of my Favorites, Dave's review of the Alienware Area 51 desktop Power House, that thing is a monster.
It Would be nice to see those types of reviews "Weekly", not Only from Dave and Marco ,but Also from the Other editors too. We like seeing Un-Boxings of motherboards, cases , hard drives, ssd's , which ever Hot hardware ,to see what were gonna get (or a least fantasize about ) We like hearing the sound of the fan of a video card when it rev's up,when tested in full high quality settings in benchmarks, seeing the test set-ups and a lot of other stuff...and in HD please.
I'd really like to see a video build log of Marco doing his magic on the prize system from the last contest.
I wonder if anyone will second this suggestion?
How about it guys?
I Second That!!
I would love to do a video blog of the build (which I'm planning to start tomorrow), I'm just not set up properly and have a lot of craziness going on during the day with a newboard and 16-month old in the house. I'll see what I can do though...

And you call your self a geek.
geeks arnt suppose to have lives.
LOL yes, that newboard will be easily overclocked if your not careful, But hey you got to overclock it sooner or later... Marco was newboard suppose to be a joke? xD
We should cut him some slack, he's probably on sensory overload right now.
(that auto-start feature has to go)
Not sensory overload---sleep deprivation. :) That fact that I typo's "born" and "board" proves my uber-geekness if you ask me!
So has the build started yet? :)
Yeah, working in it "as we speak".
How many typos can I have in a single thread? Anyone want to start a pool?

It olny mttaers waht you tihnk you see Aynawy.
Don't sweat it.
OK, contest system is built and ready to rumble! Going to install an OS to make sure everything's kosher and then box her up.
I took some pics (will post a couple in a bit) and shot video along the way. Will try to get it edited and posted soon.
OS is installed and looking good. Just some drivers and tweaks and I'll feel good about boxing her up!
I'm jealous, I love to build new systems. Can't afford to do it often either.
She's a keeper!
Oh Yeah, it's running fine!
Here's a couple of teaser shots. Video is being editing by Iyaz. Hopefully it'll get done before the holiday...
Wow, Impeccable!!....Plus Blu-ray Added!!
Oh yeah thats a keeper all good scores!!! The HD scores are pretty high what are you running besides the standard drive or are you? Also it looks like you added a Asus sound card which is cool too. Very nice scores and rig. Congrat s on the name of the poscast thats the name I would have picked cause it just sounded right! I havent been online much posting because I,ve ben very sick well still am but I like the name and this rig!
Nice looking build. I like that there's room for a big-ass exhaust fan on the top of the case if it's ever needed.
I think you'll be surprised by how cool it runs as-is, wihtout any more fans. I'd say a top-mounted, super-quiet fan couldn't hurt, but you may not want to mess with the side fan. This thing was idling at like 110 watts--doesn't generate much heat at all.
Got some more pics and video posted here:
Would love some comments from you all on that article with your system building tips! Thanks.
