My son just got his copy of Black Ops in the mail from NewEgg (DHL Smart Mail delivered by the Post Office - figure that one out) and I'm waiting for SuperRob to install it! If anyone here has had the pleasure of playing it I would like to hear your opinion! Also, if you haven't seen the Black Ops video plug, take a look HERE (it's a total crackup!).Big Smile

I have not got it. I usually shy away from $60 games. $120 for Jen and I to play together is just out of my budget, but that is a funny ad.

I got it and I like it a lot, although I have only played a few missions of single player.  Multiplayer gameplay is very similar to the rest of the series, but the unlock system is completely rebuilt.  You make cash in multiplayer gameplay which you can use to buy weapons and attachments.  This eliminates the upgrade path, so its nice to be able to buy guns as you want( it still makes you level up for some items).  There is also more customization, like a badge that has a real halo 2 feel.  only dx9, looks great, I think its worth 60.  But im sure you've played it by now so what are your thoughts?

I'm holding off for now, I can't justify $60 on a game.  This is also becoming a yearly thing and its somewhat annoying.  Not much changes between each game.

If you wait until the furor over the game dies down you can usually get it for JS-nothing or close to it.

i would buy if the digital copy was cheaper than the hard copy.  kinda makes me mad that you don't get anything tangible and you still have to pay top dollar

I dont think it will drop in price that fast, Codmw2 stayed at 50$ untill black ops came out.

I have a buddy who has an addiction problem to this game, he has already reached prestige rank 3.  Its a fun game, but its pretty much the old game with a new cover. Been playing this game most of the weekend with some friends from school, and when you knife 5 of  them in a row, you get to brag.

Tip: if some one gets gun runner or attack helicopter kill streak hide in a building.
