ZOTAC has made a living from producing graphics cards and PCs that are smaller than your average mid-tower, but their latest round of Mini PCs may be their nicest yet. For years, HTPC owners have wondered why so many HTPCs were shipping without Blu-ray support. Now, the times are finally catching up. ZOTAC has stepped forward with the first Mini PCs to be loaded with integrated slot-load Blu-ray drives, as both the ZBOX Blu-ray HD-ID33 and HD-ID34 come stocked from the factory with optical drives that can handle the latest and greatest BD flicks.

The two machines are largely similar, with Intel's new 1.8GHz Atom D525 powering the pair and NVIDIA's next generation Ion platform handling the graphics. Each have 2GB of DDR2-800 memory, while the the ID33 has a 2.5" HDD slot and the ID34 ships with a 250GB unit already. There's even USB 3.0 support, onboard Wi-Fi and plenty of Blu-ray related software bundled in. There's also an HDMI output, Windows 7 installed, a 6-in-1 card reader, 7.1 channel audio, and Gigabit Ethernet. There's no word on pricing just yet, but with Blu-ray involved, it'll surely be more expensive than prior units. But hey, there's finally Blu-ray!

How much are they?

Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.

Either way, that makes a whole lot more sense that the Billion dollar Bose sound systems that get outdated every two years!

Even if it is in the Thou range it still makes sense. This will eventually replace all those HT components that are expensive when the final combination is done. This plus an Onkyo THX receiver and it would be an amazing HT setup!

geez, where were these things during CES 2010?

These new things coming out look much smaller and sleeker than the one that looked mighty impressive back in January!

Now that's some sexy tech.

It's almost enough for me to think about bringing up the subject with my wife...almost.

Intel i3 530 @ 4.2Ghz/Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3/2x2GB G.Skill Eco & 2x2GB Kingston Blu @ 1520mhz, Coolit Vantage C240

Sapphire 6850 Toxic Edition, Mushkin Calisto Deluxe 60GB, Western Digital 640GB Caviar Black, Western Digital Scorpio Black 200GB (Vantec NexStar3 enclosure)

LG GH22LS50 DVD Writer, Ultra X4 850w PSU

Lian Li PC-P50WB

Slave to technology.
