The latest zinger of an ad that clearly pokes at the iPhone comes in the form of a full-page Motorola Wall Street Journal ad. As shown above it's pretty obvious they are targeting the lack of Adobe Flash support on iOS.

The image came via Ben Forta who posted it via Twitter. It sames simply, "Flash websites? There's a phone for that" showing the new Motorola Droid 2, which ships with Android 2.2 (Froyo), and has been given a recent update that allows downloading Flash 10.1 from the Android Market. Froyo is required to run Flash.

Apple has made some highly criticized decisions, such as the exclusion of Flash on the iPhone, including the ban of cross-compiled Flash apps from the App Store. The jury is still out on Flash support in Android, which many say slows the browser and device down to much, which has been part of Apple's reason behind its ban.

Other recent ads that have targeted the iPhone from other manufacturers have included pokes at the iPhone's "death grip" problem. Motorola's is just the latest in that series.

Flash has meant computer bloat for years. Adobe software uses a whole lot of resources too. That's why so many of us have ditched Adobe's PDF Reader and gone with alternatives like 'Cute PDF' or 'Foxit Reader' instead.

If another application materializes that does what flash does and uses up less of my system's resources, they'll be out on their butts.

Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.

The one thing that really makes me laugh about all of this is that this argument is between Apple and Adobe. To tell ya the truth I really find it quite feasible that without adobe Apple would not even exist anymore either way. The reason I say this is I remember for a very long time one of the primary reasons to buy an Apple is because Photoshop (which is adobe's premier product) ran much better on an Apple. I remember it was one of the major reason for buying an Apple back in the day. There was also a lot of music professionals who used Apple systems and still do, but back then if you had anything to do with photography or any kind of art work where you'd use a computer at any step Apple was almost key, It would seem to me they could work this argument out.I also think it would be really good if Adobe would make there software less resource intensive, but I think computers to a large part besides Apple can still work fine because there resources in general are pretty wide strength wise. The issues on Apple have also proven to be one of there major weaknesses. I am sure many of you have heard about the hacking of iPhones, which is actually done through Acrobat reader.
