"if the integrated market was eating away at discrete sales it could mean trouble for NVIDIA, but McCarron's comments imply that's not happening" not until larrabbee is launched!
LoL @ aberkae.
Seriously. This article is full of tacit acknowledgment by Intel that the new GPU will still suck for gaming. Otherwise, why all the talk about coexistence with discrete cards?
What part of "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" don't you understand?
Again lots of people just assume Intel is the only game in town when it comes to graphics. They do not understand integrated verses discrete. Fusion will change this whole misconception as more and more graphics are coming into play this bodes well for AMD. I am not so sure about Nvidia they seem like the odd one out here As Intel has Larrabee and AMD has Fusion Nvidia has no x86 partner.
Some of you folks are a bit confused. Larrabee is gone, dead, kaput, shut down, not happening.
