:D you guys should have a page just for deals (Not the forum section, a page like the homepage). thanks for the heads up, but i don't need a new HDD so soon :D
I think I'm going to grab a couple just to keep on hand. Great drives for the money. Short-Stroke 'em and they're pretty fast too.

Is HotHardware affiliated with TheTechReport? If not, you might want to fix the newegg link that has a TechReport affiliate code. Maybe even register HotHardware as an affiliate if you're not already to get a little kickback.
Yeah I seen these today when I got email from Newegg but I forgot to post it!!!! Great Deal
That is what I was talking bout in my other post. :)
This is a great deal for WD. Yet, to get even something small shipped to HI, it is already 23bucks. So I get stuck with still having to go to BB and pay the same price as shipping:(
Cant wait to get back to CA, and see what Fry's has to say bout the TB drives:)
A good deal for those of us on the mainland. They've been shelling out the deals right and left lately at newegg and lots of them leave my mouth watering too. Ha!
I may see a little cash come my way in about 6 weeks, and if I do, I'll be juicing up the 'Puters a little. (hope it works out)

Uggh... fixed. Standard code with the same good deal is now linked
What a great deal! I can't wait to show this to my son as he is looking for a storage drive.
SPAM-posters beware! ®
Prices for tb drives are dropping very fast. Alot more people who dont already have a TB drive are going to start buying some when they upgrade. Going to send this link to a friend since i know he has been looking for a upgrade.

I wonder if these things are going to continue to drop in price as SSD's become more mainstream.
inspector, how much did you pay? lol
Super Dave: Yes. But what's the big deal? There are still high-end / high-performance HDDs if you want one. The WD600 is just 47 cents / GB, compared to $2.20-$2.40 for a solid SSD.

Spinning-platter technology is fine with me, but the super-low prices makes it even better! You need to get yourself an avatar, Joel.

Well, since you asked, here is part of today's Fry's ad as shown in the LA Times:
AHHHH#$%@!*&#!
Thanks for the frustration
Since Circut City and CompUSA has closed two years ago, there are no good electronics stores here. As over priced as they were, at least they had good variety of computer tech.
Now all we have is BB and they only stock what they tell us to buy.
I really miss those "Geek a week" trips to Fry's! I even miss the Mars Attack theme of the Burbank store, or the Tropical theme of the Manhattan store

Hey, at least you are in Waikiki!
NewEgg has yet another 1TB hard drive deal! This time it is the Samsung Spinpoint F3 for $59.99 (FREE shipping). You must use promo code EMCYWPZ27 to get this deal.
Yeah... buts its a Samsuxs
animatortom: Yeah... buts its a Samsuxs
An interesting observation. It does come with a 3 year warranty, and my perception of Samsung hard drives is positive based upon my readings. Do you consider Samsung to be an inferior drive, Tom?
Yup
