Social networking nuts have reason to rejoice today. With the introduction of Kodak's EasyShare M590 digital camera, uploading pics to Facebook, Flickr, or wherever else it is you post your photos is as easy as pressing Kodak's exclusive Share Button, which is also capable of tagging photos and videos directly on the camera before whisking them into cyberspace for all the world to see.

"We are thrilled to see how people have embraced Kodak's Share Button as an easier way to share life's moments with family and friends, in three simple steps," said Phil Scott, Vice President of Marketing, Digital Capture and Devices, Kodak. "With the new Kodak EasyShare M590 Digital Camera, we are continuing our commitment to bring to market innovative, intuitive, and stylish products that make it fun and easy for today's socially savvy crowd to share all their favorite moments."

An Easy Share button isn't the only thing this socially adept camera has going for it. According to Kodak, the M590 ranks as the world's thinnest 5X optical zoom digital camera on the planet. Other features include:
  • Built-in image stabilization
  • Face recognition
  • 2.7-inch bright LCD with Kodak Color Science technology
  • 14 megapixels
  • 3200 ISO at full resolution
Look for the M590 to ship this fall for $200 in silver, red, purple, and blue.

Thats a nice lookin camera! Good to see Kodak keeping their game up!

I would like to see a larger lens with better zoom? seems like they adding some good features on the backside, yet designed the front as a Flip style camera?

Kodak continued to be innovative with camera connectivity and easy-of-use. Unfortunately the actual quality of their devices continually fall short.

I would think if they combined something like this new Kodak camera with their Zi8 portable video camera they would have the ultimate social networking camera.
