It's sort of tough to believe it took this long, but finally, Mac users are getting equal treatment when it comes to digital distribution of games. Valve has today launched a program that has not only been long-awaited, but highly rumored. Steam for Mac.

Those three words pretty much say it all, and judging by the slow download rates that many eager Mac users are seeing, it seems to be a big hit already. Many PC gamers have been getting their games exclusively via Steam for years now, as it's far simpler than riding out to a store (lazy generation, we know). Valve has also stated that new slate of games will becoming available each Wednesday, with this week's titles listed below. Let the games begin, as they say!

Here is hoping.

Quite a few games on launch day as well. More than I expected with more to come. I know the makers of Killing Floor have said they will release a Mac version soon.
