AMD is game. AMD is necessary in the CPU market too because they help to keep prices lower.
The new 6 core CPU's for 300 bucks are a 'giant slap in the face' for Intel and their "Take No Prisoners" pricing structures.
Yes,....AMD IS Game!
Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.
I am surprised that AMD actually lost some ground as their prices definitely were not the cause of this. I think AMD has to make serious inroads as Intel has established themselves as the go to CPU supplier. AMD must market them selves more. Hopefully with the settlement and the branching off from the fabs they can put more money into this area.
Also if the Apple deal was to go through, which I believe will go through with fusion this will gave AMD a huge exposure but more than that it will show they have arrived and they will gain respect. To me this is what it boils down to AMD has no respect people equate it to a second class CPU company.
My first build had a 900Mhz Thunderbird Athlon in it. AMD will get their day.
