I need to mod my computer case so that I can actually do cable management. Makes it pretty much impossible if there is no way to route cables behind the motherboard tray and the fact that my cables are short due to the fact that my psu is mounted at the bottom.

If you think you can’t do something, you’ll never be able to do it. No matter how easy it is.

The way I managed by cables. I just put them in the Hard Drive Bay which I barely ever use. Although some of the cables might block air flow, I still consider it cable management nonetheless.

Would it be possible to link to a bigger resolution picture? Your case looks similar to mine in that the PSU is mounted on the bottom and all the cables are routed through a hole in the middle instead of behind the motherboard. It would be nice to use your case as a reference and for ideas on how to manage my cables. Thank you very much!

When I open it up this weekend, to put the WC loop in it i'll post up a better picture with the back to the mobo tray as well. the only cable that i have running thorugh the hole is the 8pin but I got an extension for it and am going to reroute it behind the tray this weekend, when i take the mobo out to put on the back plate for the WC block. I also might dremmel it a bit so in the future I dont need to take the mobo out to access the back plate.. but for now Linky

I probably should get an 8-pin extension cable because right now, the cable is almost taut and over my graphics card.

I would have to do some dremeling as well but for another reason so that there is a hole that leads to the back of the motherboard tray. My motherboard tray sits on rails that are attached the the metal divider between the mobo and power supply. Therefore, everything has to be currently routed in front of the motherboard...

lol mine looks like guernica. I'll take a photo later. It doesn't help that my motherboard is an intel dx58so with two additional power connectors (aside from the 12v 8-pin and main 24 pin) on the left and bottom corner.

How many hours does it take you guys to make it that neat? I can't even hide it properly even after a solid hour of routing cables.

My latest build.  This was taken before I installed the graphics and sound card, but it's the most recent one showing the entire case.  I'll take some complete photos soon, but it's a daunting task to move the case out from underneath the desk.  I'd have to say that the biggest oversight in designing the 800d was the lack of wheels or handle.

The 800d was designed with ample room between the motherboard backplate and the case wall to allow wire management.  The abundance of grommets provide a lot of flexibility.

Wow, I really like the matching color scheme.  Did you paint that Corsair power supply logo? The red Corsair Dominators would really fit that setup.

Yeah, sorry... the other pic was zoomed in on the main chamber.  I wanted to separate the pump into the bottom chamber and suspend it as you can see so that it wouldn't transfer vibration to the case.  By most accounts, the D5 pump shouldn't have a problem generating the necessary head pressure to make that first climb to the radiator, but I don't think I'm getting quite the flow that I want.  I'll need to run some tests, but they'll probably be held off until it's time to change the water.

Nope, I didn't paint it; someone from another forum created it and posted it for everyone to use.  I have no idea why Corsair chose the blue color for their higher wattage PSU's since blue doesn't seem to be very popular for case mods, particularly that bright color blue.

I have Dominators but unfortunately not the GT, so they are blue also :P

I bought them when they were on sale and long before I planned  this build, so I may end up getting some GTs which will match, or these extended cooling fins in red

Cooling NB heat sink, out through the top.  The H50 in push/pull almost covers this heat sink, so its hard to get air across it.  I actually took this out because it wouldn't stay put, and when it wasn't aligned right it just blocked more airflow.
