Nice, does this require you to have a 3D TV first? If it doesn't it would be nice but if it did... not much people is going to be watching this.
This looks to be gaining traction I remember reading about 3D television sales and I was baffled thinking we just made the switch to digital, and HD now appears to be catching on. I could maybe see the benefit of this watching sports and the combination of HD with 3D could be an surreal experience from home.
OK, Dish and Direct are the same company since like four years ago?
They just keep Duping people into thinking there is actual competition :P
I can understand how much fun this could be for sports fans, although this might save people money. they wont have to pay crazy ticket prices, or wait in traffic. they can just sit at home and get as drunk as they want without having to worry about driving.
But, FIFA World Cup 2010? Even in 3D, I don't think it can make it more exciting! At least now they can sit at home and DVR it, then play it back at double speed to really make it interesting. All the while, getting the feeling of being there. At least until they throw a chair through the screen during the riot :P
To Bad ESPN doesn't carry Formula one! This would be really cool if they had one of these cameras replace the on-Track ones :o
That is a huge amount of 3D viewing material. Just what is needed to really get this thing going and give people a reason to buy new TVs and subscribe to DirecTV. What good is a 3D TV without any good 3D content to choose from?
For me, I'll stick with 2D for a good while.
