In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we thought it would be fun to give away yet another awesome gaming system! In conjunction with our good friends at CyberPower PC, with support from Thermaltake, Gigabyte, Kingston, XtremeGear, and Sapphire, we’ve put together a killer rig to give away to celebrate Valentine's Day! This time around, you could win a full Intel Core i7-based system, complete with a Radeon HD 5870 pushing the pixels, a Kingston SSD, and an awesome, Thermaltake Element-S case.

We promise this machine will be great for all of the gamers out there! And it could be all yours! As we've done with previous sweepstakes, we’ll be giving away this rig away to a randomly selected contributor to
our on-line forum and news discussion systems (see below for details). The complete break-down of components in the system includes:

Case: Thermaltake Element-S
CPU: Intel Core i7-920 2.66GHz
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD5
Cooling: XtremeGear HP-1216X
PSU: 1Kilowatt Thermaltake
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD5870 1GB
Memory: Kingston 6GB KHX1600C8D3K3
SSD: Kingston 64GB SSD-Now
Hard Drive: 500GB WD 7200RPM
Optical Drive: 22X DVD±/±RW + CD-R/RW
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Keyboard: Xtreme Gear Multimedia
Mouse: XtremeGear Optical USB 3 Button

Retail Value: ~
$2,000.00

To be entered into the sweepstakes, you’ve got to be a registered, active member of our forum and a resident of the United States. If you’re not already a member, you can sign up quickly and easily (and for free), right here.

From this point forward, we’ll be monitoring discussions here in the news and in the forum.  We will be randomly selecting a winner based on community involvement and contribution. You can also increase your chances of winning by signing up for our
HotHardware RSS News Alerts or becoming a fan of HotHardware via our respective Facebook or Twitter pages. And it couldn't hurt to become a fan of the CyberPower PC Facebook page either! The contest will run through the middle of next month, and we'll announce the winner on March 15, 2010.

This is a great chance for to you to win a custom, ultra powerful new system. Now go make some new friends in the forum
and get in the running! Good Luck!

Here we go again. Time for another exciting battle for a beautiful system. The SSD alone looks so tempting to have, and the rest of the system is just wonderful, good combination of hardware. Cyberpower put together a nice system!

Sigh!.  Wish I could afford something even HALF as decent as this.  I'm still using a hand me down AMD socket 939 rig with a single core Athlon 64 4000+ and 2 gigs of ram.  And as luck would have it, it got phased out several months back and parts have shot through the roof, if you can find them at all.

Now I'm torn between i5 or Phenom II X4 and blasted Athlon II X4.

Been so satisfied with my old rig I never paid any attention to the cpu wars much.  And now i regret it.

Anyone care to help a fella out and throw together a super budget 'game' rig for $500?  Priorities are future proofing upgradability, so cpu, mobo, vga, and memory are main focus.  Everything else can be ignored so that should help.  HDD/ case, psu, etc can trickle in later.

Oh, I'm new here too so hi everyone.

Jujdred

I'm sorry that it doesn't work out for you. They have posted on their reasons for not shipping to other countries in the past.

That is a sweet system. I was going to buy the 5850, but my mobo can't run it, and i can't afford an upgrade. I never won any contests, or even the lottery, lol. I don't expect to win this, but some lucky winner is sure to love this gaming beast. Nice and future proof. Good luck to everyone.

I can help you out jujdred building a system to that price line should work. You already have a case and monitor which drops 3-400 from the retail price anyway.

Hey HH is always got something brewing. Plus a lot of valid discussion of components technologies etc. Not to mention the added bonus of the contests around here. Did you new guys see what gibbersome just won a couple of weeks back? Either way I'd definitely nominate HH as one of the best on the web period, for all of it's differing qualities, I find no matches especially in a complete picture.

Whoever wins this machine can try to get it OCed enough to take on the monster Gibbersome just won. Be fun to try to catch that machine.

Oh man. This one beats my homebrew system hands down. If I win this one, the DIY rig will go up on Craigslist in a New York minute, to pay for home repairs (including replumbing my basement after a burglar stole all the copper pipes).

I have to wonder, though-- the focus on the forumites here is gaming, so are we all giving up our chances at the Thermaltake pink nettops to enter this one?

Frankly, I wouldn't throw either one out of bed for eating crackers. And I renew my promise: If I win one of the Thermaltake Valentines Specials, and I'm partial to the one with the pink barcode, I promise to install one of those Unix knockoffs onto it, to join in the burgeoning L4P movement.

But if anyone's counting, I'd prefer this one. For one thing, there's no implication that you have to give it to a Significant Other. "All for Pagus! All for me! Ha, ha, ha!"

And they do it again! And for the next magic trick by Dave and Marco they will give away an LCD the size of the 1 in Texas stadiumSurprise. Yeah, I bet the new members and post would jump through the roof for that one.

Seriously though guys another great system and giveaway. This isn't the first system donated  by cyberpower either is it? I wouldn't mind tradin up for the GPU and PSU you guys are givin away. But I think I have won enough great stuff and will let some others have a go.

It depends on the manufacturer, Kyouya, sorry. In this case shipping to Canada just isn't feasible from a cost standpoint.

Hey, longtime reader at HH, almost half a year now, and I'm pretty sure I've learned more about computers from these guys than I did in my past 2 semesters at college. If HH weren't here I'd be so lost on the hardware frontier I'd probably still be trying to get an 8800 thinking it was "leading edge". lol Great work on the site guys, love it! and love the awesome sweepstakes too, whoever wins will be one happy camper :D
