So Realneil got me thinking about Za, or pizza...

Anyone try Domino's new recipe yet? Any good?

Also on that topic, did you guys see the commercials for it? The comments about their old recipe were pretty brutal lol I was cracking up! "The crust tastes like cardboard and the sauce tastes like ketchup" Snap! lol

I personally liked the old recipe... wasn't my first choice but if it was between dominos and little ceasars... i'd go with Dominos lol I mean, they had to have been getting something right, they've been in business for a long time, and as far as i'm aware, they have never changed the recipe.

Anyway... opinions?

Yes. It is much better. I still would much rather have a really good pizza from a local place, but the new pizza is far better than the old pizza.

They must have finally got rid of the noid.

Sweet, gonna try out some new blue cheese too. Been looking for some good stuff. It's hard to find good blue cheese down here in Texas.

Blue cheese? I don't remember seeing that. Or do you mean blue cheese sauce with your chicken wings?

How about Shakey's Pizza? Anyone here tried that out? They were the first Pizza Joint in SoCal, Many years ago.

They were the bomb when I was a kid and they've kept the same flavor for years and years.

Of course they don't have stores on the East coast,.......sigh!

Those of you who like to bake your own Pizza's should try the 16" Meat Lovers Pizza from WalMart.

Hot out of the oven it's hard to beat.

Tried the new Domino's:  I thought it was pretty good, though I didn't really dislike their old pizza.

Loved the commercials.  You should check out the skit where Stephen Colbert made them his alpha dog of the week for ripping on themselves so hard.

No one likes pizza more than my wife.  When I met her, she was a waitress at Pizza Hut.  She would bring home "mistake pizzas" where they put on the wrong toppings... put them in the fridge... then immediately call Dominos or Papa John's.  Never too much pizza around for her.

What part of "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" don't you understand?

They have some terrific joints in the Midwest, like Giordanos and Loumanaltis.

I've heard about Shakeys but haven't been to SoCal since earlier last year so I'm outta luck.

Walmart pizza? Really, is it that good?

How much can you get it for?

@3vi1 It takes real guts to rip on your own product. They must have been really struggling these past few months. What does your wife consider the best chain pizza? (Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, Dominos, Papa Johns, etc)

WalMart's deal is $10.00 for a 16" meat Lover's Pizza. It's as close to a restaurant Pizza as you'll get without going to one. It is a tasty Pizza.

I never thought I'd buy a $10 frozen pizza from Walmart, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

The verdict is in on the new Dominos pizza. It's slightly better...

The Dejorno pizze and the like are decent, But I generally only like fresh pizza. I will have to try the Domino's. I think in my area they (Pizza joints) are all hurting from Little Ceasers. You can't beat it good pizza for 5 bucks. They are slightly smaller but the two for 10 deal is the best. We usually get papa John's he never brings it in the Camaro though.

I've heard both expressions before. I lived in Southern California for most of my life and it's a giant melting pot with people from all over checking in and staying awhile. You get to know many types of personalities. They say things that may sound strange and explain them to you. So you learn a lot about people there.

Being in the US Army was the same.

Did any of yoose guys try out the WalMart 16" Meat Lover's Za yet? If you DID, I would have heard back already, I think.

Wow, im fixin to have to show yall how to properly speak English if yall dont straighten up and fly right.  Za aint pizza, it is what you say when you stick your finger in a light socket.  Still, the only good pizza is pizza hut pizza.  If your heart aint burning and your chest tightening with every bite, it isnt pizza.

You've never had one of the original Pizza Pies then. Otherwise you would know it's a Shakey's Pizza.

I also work for the Gov't now providing tech support to Army hospitals all over the world... so I hear random things here a lot too.

Actually, it's not frozen, it's fresh. Then you bake it at home and they turn out really good.
