I want them to put in the MacBook Pro, the i7. that is what i'm waiting for to move into the apple world...
MacBook Pro 13.3" LED-Backlit Glossy, Intel "Penryn" Core 2 Duo T8700 - 2.53G, 8GB DDR3 1066, NVIDIA GForce 9400M 1280X800
HTPC 4G DDR3 XMS Corsair, Intel i5-750 Quad Core, 6ft HDMI Cable by Rosewill, AverMedia Tv Card, Gigabyte P55M-UD2, Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 with Vapor X Cooling, 500 HD Maxtor 7200 2.5 HDD, Asus Blu-Ray Optical Drive, 46" LED Toshiba TV
@kid007 - no flame war intentions, but why pay apple's premium for their version of the i7? i like their OS but don't like to pay extra for the same hardware... know what i mean?
~~Dell Laptop , D520, Core2Duo @ 2.0Ghz undervolted to 1.0v
When you buy an Apple piece of equipment you are mainly paying for a designer brand name. Yes they have a different operating system. I still cannot understand the attraction for the price premiums they charge. The hardware is exactly the same. I build systems so I know the price lines very well. Then on top of that an Apple system is very proprietary, and therefore limits your choices severely. As fast as hardware moves today my last wish would be to be on a proprietary platform.
It's kinda like people wanting a GTX295 on an IMac. If you're going to be using your computer for heavy gaming, you shouldn't be buying an IMac in the first place (OS limitations).
Anyway, the magic mouse looks really cool. I saw the video on the Mac website.
personally i never liked apple, however since i got my i-phone and started playing around with a macbook pro i just liked the whole texture and design. yes it is a premium but isn't all we buy? is like saying you get for what pay for "get it" I really like the feel of the macbook pro, compared to all my Dells (XPS 1530, 1330 and even my desktop) i see something unique in the Mac's and that why I would pay for them.
I might have to get used to playing around with their OS. however everything in life is about learning right?
They do offer a version of the new iMac with an i7 in it. It's the expensive one of course.
i7 laptops are around too but not with the Apple logo on them.
The new Magic Mouse is bitchin' and I want one NOW!!
I bought the premium iMac two years ago and it's still a nice, nice computer.
These new ones sport better specs and lighter prices too.
Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.
Say what you want about Apple, but their design aesthetics are top notch. They are also quite innovative.
Due to OS limitations and cost, I wouldn't want a Mac as my primary desktop, but I would love a MacBook Pro with the 24" LED Cinema Display to connect it to when I'm at home.
It's unfortunate that their new wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse aren't Windows compatible.
