Lately I have been having problem with my computer kept freezing. It would take about an hour or so and then the computer would not respond. Later on I found out that it has something to do with the Seagate eSATA card that came with the Seagate external drive. I connect the same external drive through USB and it works fine. Is there a way to fix this existing card or troubleshooting it more? My second question is, if this is in fact the fault of the eSATA card, what are some the better eSATA cards out there?
Don't know much about sata cards, but sounds like a driver issue. Have you tried updating them?
I've been having the same issues as you. Except, my esata is connected directly to the main board. All is fine with using usb though. I'm running windows 7 RC. Which OS are you using?
I'm running Windows XP 64bit.
