I think for most people Ebay would be a better option. Unless you phone is more than 5 years old.
Yes, but throwing away cell phones is kind of like throwing away a TV or computer. There are actually some pretty dangerous agents, chemicals, substances in PCB and many other electronic components. So you could just drop your old junk in one of these. You even get something in return to some point. SO why not??????????
Just don't expect any decent offers for your phone. Be glad to say you recycled it responsibly and say good bye to it. Now they'll make it into telephone 'Soylent Green'.

Yeah if you are selling an old device chances are you will be giving it away for recycling and not getting any actual money for it like with Gazelle. But at least it is ecologically/safely recycled.
