Okay, so I'm lookin' to sell the rig I have now around November during the Holiday Season and then use that money to take advantage of all the sales that are going on then. So here are my specs, as well as everything I'll be selling
nVidia GTX 260 (Core 192)
6GB DDR2 1066RAM
Intel E7200 (With Artic Cooling's Freezer 7 Pro)
500 Watt Rosewill PSU
320GB Hardrive
CD Burner/DVD Drive
Older Full Tower ATX (Has some marker on it, but I'll be cleaning that off.)
Encore Wireless N Card
Dual 22" Monitors (Auxilary Monitor has a nick in it about the size of a mouse pointer on the far right, and the main one has a dead pixel, I barely notice it though and I'm very picky wiith that kind of thing...)
So I was thinking with the monitors it'd be worth about $700, and without I could sell her for $500.
What about the motherboard? I suppose you could sell it for $500, however by November that price will most likely fall because core i5 should be out by then. Also, how are you running 6gb of ram? I would imagine that that is not in dual channel anymore, which would be a decrease in performance.
Yea it won't be in dual channel. Well the DIMMs will be but yea... I"ve got Gigabyte's EP43 DSL3, it's a pretty nice mobo... But even with two 22" monitors it's not worth more than $500????
I would say your monitors have retained their value since they tend to not lose value nearly as fast especially if no dead pixel or screen scratches.
I would say $400 if no OS or linux for the rig or $500 if windows is on it. That would be me. Goodluck mate.
