i'm not really sure on how to build my computer and what to put in it
my budget is £400, i already have a monitor and speakers, but i need the tower (with everything i need) and keyboard and mouse (the set i have atm are sh*t).
I play WoW and CSS, but my computer (i bought second hand off a friend) keeps messing up.
i'm looking for a decent gaming computer (nothing special) but one that i can play COD : WAW on at a good frame rate.
i also have a friend of mine who is selling a nvidia geforce 8800gt gfx, is it worth buying it?
cheers :)
Depending on the price for the 8800gt it could be a good buy.
with building a computer you need: CPU, mother board, ram, GFX card, Power supply, Hard drive, and DVD drive of some sort. Now you can take the HD you havce currrently and use it in the new PC as well as the DVD drive. Though a Clean install of the operating system will be needed.

if you don't want to deal with having to fit it or check what's compatible and what's not there are alot of good prices for gaming pcs on ebay, prebuilt.

This is good if you don't want sli.
I personally don't like ebay, but some have never had a issue with it. I may just be unluck.
If your going to build a rig for WoW and CSS you should be more than fine with $400(idk how to make the pounds sign )
I would look at the new ATI 4770 if you don't get the 8800gt. Both should run those games with everything cranked up.
Are you looking for help with all the specs right now or just getting ideas?
cheers guys,
my brothers friend managed to help me find all the parts i need (he's really good with comps :P)
