i'm glad that this wasn't available when i was dating a crazy girl.
i couldn't imagine having a stalker/obsessive partner with this enabled.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should do it. I can't help but think that some awful stories will come of this. Do people really need to be able to pin point your exact physical location? What about the dangers opened up to kids who unwittingly divulge their location to potential predators. I love Google's innovation, but this one troubles me. I guess on the flip side, it could be useful for parents to track where their kids are at any given time.
I got a bunch of emails this past week which looked like they were from people i know with teh subject line XXXXXX wants to track you and a link to download something from google. I guess this was a latitude invite.. I though it was a phishing email..
I have Google Latitude on my Nexus. It is not opt in for location sharing. It does not shares your location with people and apps unless you give them express permission. Maybe it didn't used to be that way. But that is the way it is now.
