I've always just used the OEM version of Nero that comes with many optical drives, but recently tried Nero 9. I thought it was terrible for many reasons which i won't go into. What do you guys use and why?

I use K3B, because I run Linux and it's the best graphical burner ever.

I used Nero for many years on Windows, as it was always the best program around in that arena.  Though... it didn't really seem to be "improving" with new releases.

That's for sure. The OEM version I've been using is way more efficient than 9... 9 is a bloated, super slow, counter intuitive POS IMHO.

BTW: Shame on me for even considering using a crack I found on youtube. Embarrassed

I noticed. That's what I liked about Nero OEM version. Nero 9 on the other hand seems heavy even though I elected not to install many of the components. When launching it for the 1st time I could hear the hdd grinding away, indicating to me that there was ALOT being loaded. This CDburnerXP is exactly what I was looking for and I won't hesitate to recommend it to others... thx again.

Will CDburnerXP work in Vista 32/64? If not, is there another freeware program for burning that's Vista friendly?

I have used it in both 32 and 64bit just fine. Are you having problems with it?

Hi,

I have NTI CD and DVD maker (it came with my PC). Has anyone else heard of or have it? It gets the job done, but I wouldn't reccomend it.

Thanks
