Magnavox unit i was buying from aarons. I was 2 months from actually owning it. They told my wife to bring it in tommorrow and they will hand us a loaner till it is repaired. So I guess we will see if they stand good on it.

True at least i still owed them 2 payments so it should be fixxed. I'm just not very trusting of company's. Company's historically do not show the same loyalty to their customers as the customer shows to the company.

I've never understood why people do that.

Brand loyalty is a corner stone of american tradition. Don't believe me tell a ford owner chevy's better. Americans have a need to feel that a brand name is superior to all otheirs and that they shouldn't even listen when other products are disccussed. It is a product of consumerizm and actually stems from a time 3-5 generations ago when individuels owned most trade like say a blacksmith. Near all work was faith based and totally done on trust. Then once the bond was forged it was unshakeable. Unfortunantly todays companys are in no way as honest as the blacksmith was. . In todays bussiness it is based on diminishing returns and marketing tactics. No sincerity what so ever. Today folks need to be less a consumer and more a comparitive and informed purchaser.

You miss out on so much great stuff that way. I have been running firefox since the day it came out, but I still try new versions of opera, flock, and safari, and even IE. On the other hand I have a Ipod and a while back got a Creative Zen. Love the Zen so much more.

Sorry to hijack your thread.

Just got back from aaron's  Angry  I am so pissed off right now. They said that the 6yr old dell 26 not a 32 notice must have failed from a power surge....A 6yr old monitor could possibly failed from being to old..... So no loaner and i have a good feeling there about to stiff me for 1500 bucks.[:'(]  i feel like throwing bricks threw all their windows.

Forget the windows ....Windows would be easy for aarons to fix . Instead i'm thinking more on the punching the manager in the face till he passes out kinda of retribution. Since its the managers decision to do me over for 1500 bucks that sounds to me like he said " he got no tv for ya but how about you punch 1500 bucks out on me"  and he's in luck cause i think thats just what i might do. 1500 direct nose shots. Got news for em i'm lousy at counting when i'm angry. So i might have to start over a couple of times.

UUUGGHHH!!!! Lets face it i'm not gonna because i'm the father of 6 and wouldn't know how to explain why daddy went to jail for beating the stupid man up. DANG IT I hate being a responsable parent when all i really want to do is smash this little punk for all my coin. Sometimes it just seems like there isn't any benefits to being a honest and nice guy.Pardon me folks while I head to the dark corner for a little [:'(]

You should go over his head and try to get in touch with a "suit", maybe they can rectify the situation for you. Also maybe try getting in touch with the BBB.

Just writing a BBB report can change the tune of a business very quickly sometimes.

Well we went over the local managers head and we are suppose to have a district manager call us back in the next 48hrs to see if anything can be done from that end. We are also certainly going to the BBB about the whole ordeal.

Now in the mean time I went down to where my wife works and looked at a couple new Tv's Both are  Toshiba one a 42 and the other a 47 both 1080 since my old unit was only 720. I will be paying like 1900 for the 47 or 1600 for the 42. Since both has payments about the same as what i was already making I guess i will have to live with it. I just hate the thought of loosing soo much money on the previous set. Maybe tommorrow i will have a new set while i wait to see what happens with aarons. I only owed $230 on the 32 Sad

Not that i am about pushing BBY or anything -- but they have 2yrs interest free financing; I got my first LCD that way. I just had to pay $30 a month for a few years and never paid a cent of interest!!

Also TVs from BBY have a 60-day, no-restocking fee return period if I remember correctly........so if nothing else you could use it as a "loaner"

I've seen the 37" version of the regza line and it's great looking with it's ultra thin bezel... makes it look more like a monitor.
