"We continue to believe Apple will need to reposition the iPod touch line in conjunction with its anticipated new product announcement in early to mid-September now that the iPhone acquisition price is lower."
Latest rumors: - Revamp of entire iPod line. - Small cosmetic changes to Touch, Nano to see significant redesign (see pic below). - iPods to see fairly large price drops to distance itself from the $199 iPhone. - iPod touch 2.1 software, iPhone to get update very soon after. - iTunes 8.0 ("it's a big update w/new features"). - All of this coming in the next 2-3 weeks.
I don't like it.

It seems kinda back n forth with everyone here but I am one more for the "don't think I like it" side -- it looks...cheap?
3vi1: didn't some of the old ones catch fire? My arm strap idea suddenly sounds reminiscent of those suicide bombs the Predators wear.
My first gen Ipod nano still runs like a champ. I keep it in my car so if it was going to blow up it would have on one of the 100F days we had last month here.
new nano looks weird. but the wrist strap might be an interesting accessory as this would be OK as a wristband video player. probably be way over priced considering what $100 buys from Samsung, Creative or Sandisk...
LOL So i;m the only 1 here that likes this thing. Makes since
It might look better in person. It just looks weird and cheap in the pic.
I was happy to see a shape that wasn't so square
Yeah. I'm not a huge fan of the way the ipod look now either, minus the touch.
