For the past few months, I have been participating in a campaign created by the folks at Toshiba and Federated Media designed to help users get answers to their laptop-related questions. You may have seen the banners here at HotHardware from time to time. The LaptopExperts website born from the campaign was created to provide a central location where users of any type of laptop (not just Toshiba) can enter their questions and get answers from myself and the other "experts" participating in the program.

Over the course of the campaign I have tried to answer user submitted questions pertaining to
DSL and network connections, to touchpad issues, and even a funky boot-order issue. But there are numerous other questions already in the database as well, covering an even wider range of topics.

We thought some of the answers posted up on the site might come in handy for those of you that handle tech-questions from your family and friends, or at work. And if you know the answer to a question that hasn't been answered yet, have additional information that may shed even more light on an existing answer, or have a question of your own feel free to jump right in. The site is open to everyone.

I like that site. One of the posters there was complaining that his laptop ate 3 hard drives and wanted to know why. In his post he also mentioned that no caddy was installed on the drive; he simply wedged a folded piece of paper between the hard drive and the drive-slot in his laptop to support the drive! LOL - this reminds me of another crazy hardware 'fix' that I recently saw on YouTube involving the XBox 360 Ring Of Death. See it HERE. (Please don't try this at home!)

Thanks I found them at Directron to same price after shipping :))) finally been looking for them a couple days I specifically wanted the 5300 model because it does dual G and N wireless doesn't get interrupted better security combines bandwidth to an extent I'm sure you know the 5100 model is lacking

I am happy now I've found all the parts for my whitebook. The awesome part is it beats the specs on most notebook's and beats the prices by a mile. I'm gonna have to go with a 15.4" (a laptop is for mobility anyway and I have a monitor I can hook it to if needed). Unless anyone knows where I can grab a Centrino 2 17" for less than 850.00 !!! If so link me I already know where to get everything else..... :)

PS: oh and I do not want 1920 rez I have to read and write

everything for webcollege on this puppy. 1440 or 1680 rez

is where I want to be!!!!
