first off, i want to say that yes nvidia does beat ati, but at 299 vs 700-800, is a few fps that important? 2 of these in crossfire will kick the 280's ass

 Hi All

That's a valid point Recovering, we'll have to wait & see if AMD/ATI partners can come up with better coolers. In addition, when the Drivers mature we might see better temps. I would advise anyone looking to purchase one of these cards to make sure that their case has good airflow or a potential overheating problem could come up.

Personally I'm not at all impressed by Ati's current offerings. Granted they are priced competetively and mix it up with Nvidia in the performance arena, but IMO Ati's execution just seems sloppy to me.

Hi All

I'm just glad to see the Red team competetive again. Nvidia must respond  by lowering prices for their cards which benefits all of us. Remember when the 8800GTX Ultra was first released? If memory serves, it went for a mind boggling $800.00. Had ATI had a more competetive product at that time I doubt that card would have been released at that price

Hmmmm...they just might really need to have video cards in their own little enclosure with their own power supplys outside the computer case or it's own seperate compartment in the case with a mini power supply.

All errors in spelling and grammar are entirely by design in order to enrage those who have nothing left to add to the discussion and therefore seek superiority through personal attacks.
