Hi! I found a 8800GS quite cheap and im wondering if it will perform way better than my 7600GT PCI-E. I know that the 8800GS has DX10 support, but im not interested in that(for now at least). So, would you recommend me to purchase this cheap 8800GS?Confused

Thanks in advance!Big Smile

It won't offer you over-the-top performance compared to the 7600GT, but I would say it is a reasonable upgrade.  Where you would see the largest performance gains is to pair it with a second 8800GS for SLI in the future.

It would be a very nice upgrade.  But how much cheaper is it for you than a 9600GT?  The 9600GT has the advantage of 512mb of memory, instead of "just" 384mb.  It would be worth paying a little more.  How much more is subjective, but up to $20 imo.  Still, even with the 8800GS you will see big improvements.  If you're looking for high settings in newer games you undoubtably will accomplish that.   Go for it.
