I picked myself up a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Brisbane processor. I am looking for the best bang for my buck, MOBO wise. I am also planning on putting an Nvidia 8800 GTX card since I didn't pick up an Ultra previously and the Ultras seem to have disappeared.
I was looking at some of the Phenom boards, but don't know if they are worth it. Any help is appreciated.
How much would you like to spend and are there any features you're looking for in particular?
Well, I'd like the latest Chipset that works in conjunction with the Brisbane. I currently have a DFI mobo, but they new DFI Mobo seems on the expensive side and didn't seem to get a lot of good views on new egg.
As for money, i'd like to spend in the $150-$200 range.
Features? Something that will allow me to run the most recent games (Crysis, FarCry2, etc) without too much issue. I'd like the memory to be expandable up to 8 GB of DDR2 - 1066 GHZ.
I tend to not OC, though, because I don't have too much expendable income.
