can i set up a raid 0, with 2 80g drives but different makes(1 wd and 1 maxtor both 7200 rpm)??
" In theory, most RAID 0 setups can be configured with hard drives of different sizes from different manufacturers. In practice, you'll save yourself a lot of time and grief by building your array with identical hard drives--meaning drives of the same make, model, and size. At the very least, use two drives from the same manufacturer." - ripped from a PC World article. You can read the whole article HERE. If you already have the drives go for it! But if you have yet to purchase your drive(s) I would say purchase identical drives, slick8.

try if not just get indentical drives or dont use raid
I would say that it would work no problem. :) Not sure though!
