Makes sense to me.
The best way to go about it imo ^_^. But if it doesn't pay off, you'd have to begin to move towards a higher paying job eventually. Those loans don't pay themselves you know =P.
Actually when you are young is when you can work for a small but growing company, its when you get older that you have to watch it. If doesn't matter if you are a programmer or whatever. If you choose the company well and it grows you will be given every opportunity to grow along with it. In a large company they may give you crazy looks if you ask to switch departments, even though you may hold an advanced degree in a related area or have experience that would be useful in that other department, problem is they won't know you can help there.
