if your system has 2003/XP/Vista, http://www.codecguide.com/about_real.html

should help , and along with try to get the K-lite codec pack.

What you need to do is convert the .rm files to DivX files which can easily play on the DVD player.

http://www.divx-digest.com/articles/rm2avi.html should do the trick nicely.

Some DVD players have in their manuals specifications for bitrates and what-not which might help you create a video file the unit will play.
