The revamped GeForce 8800 GTS 512, originally scheduled for 11/19, will be delayed until 12/11, according to sources from graphics card makers.  The new NVIDIA card will replace the 8800 GTS 640, and will have 128 of NVIDIA's Stream unified-shader pixel processors vs. 96 in the older 320 and 640 units.

The new GeForce 8800GTS 512MB cards will replace the previous generation GeForce 8800GTS 640MB cards with a 65nm process GPU, supporting PCI Express 2.0, HDMI and PureVideo Gen2. The GPU will have 128 streaming processors, 970MHz GDDR3 memory frequency, 650MHz core frequency and a maximum TDP of 140W, according to the sources.

The report goes on to say that the price range of GeForce 8800 GTS 512 boards will be $299-349.
