First time poster, what a great forum this is!
Hello everybody,
I am building a new system and I could sure use some advice from the helpful people here
I'm interested in buying a GeForce 8800 GT 512M, I'm also planning to buy the following:Mobo: Asus P5E CPU: Core 2 Duo E6850Memory: Not sure yet, any PC2-6400 DDR2-800 type. (2x 1GB)
I am wondering how strong should the case power-supply be, I was also hesitating about my mobo choice, do you guys think it's a good compatible choice? (I am not big on over-clocking, I don't have the passion for it)
Many thanks in advance,Toastman.
As you can see in my sig a 520w powers an Ultra just fine. The brandname is actually important as are the amps across the 12v rails.
Here are links to some good choices: LINK(standard cables) LINK(modular cables) LINK(modular cables)
Yup. he's right on. If you go with a good brand in the 500-600w range you should be perfectly fine.
