I bought a 19in Viewsonic from Necxdirct (Gateway Acces. Store) PF790 for $359.00 (Free Shipping). Sharp...BUT.. then I saw those infamous lines of the screen from the aperture grille. YUCK. I cant stand those things. Sent it back.

Next I looked at the 19in Hitachi CM771. Paid $399.00 (Free shipping again). How sweet it is. No lines because of the Shadow-mask tubes. I happy with it BUT the only thing I hate is that when I turn it on it makes this extremely big GONG noise. Damn, I thought it was going to blow up the first time I cut it on. Is this normal? It sounds kind of SUSPECT. None of my other monitors made this noise. It really sucks when Im sneaking out of the bed @ 2:00am. The "Wife" catches everytime.

My philips makes that same noise. The one's that I've really seen do it though are Samsung monitors. Those things sound like a rocket ship when they start-up.

Today I will review the 19-in & 15-in Monitor:
The Alphabet test:

19 inch monitor: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

EYE GLASSES NEEDED
15-inch monitor: ......................................................

As you can see, the 19-in outpreforms the 15-in by a landslide.

j/k

I couldnt imagine having a 21 inch monitor on MY desk. I have a 19 inch and its HUGE. Not to mention when I sat it on my desk, the desk started tipping over.

My eyes get tired from looking left to right on the 19 inch. I know 21 would be ridiculous.

Hehe...I go from a 19" at work to a 21" at home.

Then I can't stand to come to work because my monitor is so small ...
