Blackberry Bold 9000, with AT&T cost me with everything including International Plan for Long Distance $100 a month...

That is w/out the Text Message... <- Blackberry Messenger rulex! been using Blackberry Since 2006 have not a problem and have had about 5 models

depends on which model you get and the carrier. I prefer a blackberry over other smart phones though. They don't call it crack berry for no reason at all. Best bet is go into your local store for whoever your carrier is

The actual cost to make a blackberry is approximatly 25$ canadian each. The cost to buy one is probably included in what ever plan you sign up for, depending on your phone/cable providor.

It is a smart phone with a querty keyboard and a propriatary OS.

why is it so famous?

It was the first querty keyboard smart phone (I think)
