Ya But Megahalem and True don't fit in the Squeleton.

Prolimatech Megahalem is better than both of those...Roughly same size as the Thermalright TRUE and gets lower temps.

Hi, I'm building the same rig , but with a Rampage Extreme ( 775) , what kind of CPU Cooler you plan to use ? I order a Noctua NH-C12P, but not sure it will fit, I will have may be to go with a Thermalright AXP-140, ( I also have a Rampage II but I will put it on a Haf 932, with the WC stuf, but that will go at the end of the summer. )

As I said, just set up a RAM Drive with 2GB of ram, set 'Ready Boost' to it rather then a physical drive, put your web browsers catche to it, and have it set up to update/write to HDD every ~15 minutes or so.

If you move as much as possible what is normally done on an HDD to the RAM Drive, it will make the system more responsive. Just make sure that you don't store vital "System Will Die Without This!" files to the RAM Drive.

No not really, just wanted to fill the slot's (keep the dust out - LOL) I'm sure at some level of 64bit programs it will play part - just not much out their to challenge it yet

updates - I HAVE INCREASED RAM TO 12GB - ADDING A COUPLE OF SEAGATE 10,000 RPM DRIVES TODAY - NOT GONNA RAID - (PERSONAL EXPERIANCES) - LOST 1 HARDRIVE DUE TO VIRUS LAST WEEK FROM WIFE'S EMAIL (THAT SUCKED) - I AM NOT GOING TO OVERCLOCK THIS BEAST FOR A BIT (NO REASON - RUN'S EVERYTHING LIKE A ROCKET)

Serious question though. Why didn't you go with a couple of the new internal raided SSDs, 12GB of Ram, and a Ram drive for Ready Boost. Hell, I'm going to have 12GB, so I can slot 2GB to the Ram drive, run 1GB of Ready Boost, and rune the entire 3DMark/FutureMark/et'all from the other GB of Ram drive. I wonder how crazy high the HDD rating will be then. :D

Of course, that would be kinda cheating, but the RAID'ed G.Skill Titan 128's should be pulling in a little over 450MB @s reads and a little over 320MB @s writes and around 800MB burst read. I say one guy had 5 of them in a RAID0. He was pulling a flat 800MB read, 550MB Write, 2.5GB burst read!

Raid even though I think you probably have the jump on all of us it still would be interesting to see all you big dogs go head to head on this!If not anything else would be entertaining and informative!

Very nice rig you got there bro.

You got what I'm putting together on raw graphics/CPU power (4870 1GB/i7 920), but I think my RAID 0 Titans, some serious OC on the (watercooled) CPU, 12GB of RAM, and RAM Drive might help catch or pass you in a few areas. It'll be nice to see the differences.

Well, as long as we don't count looks anyway.
