That's very misleading. When the promo code came up, it didn't work on the newegg page. I tried the code on the 260 (didn't work), but on the 275 it did....I think it's a scam to get people to join their forum/site. I doubt there is a $50 code. But hey if someone finds it, post it so we can all enjoy it.

Apparently the PNY guys have to contact Newegg to change Newegg's product code to the one which recognises the code. It could take a few days (see below)

PNY Forum User:

So I got a code as well, typed in the SKU for the GTX 260 on newegg and added it to my cart.
I got the same issue where the discount wasn't taken off.
It turns out that the item number is incorrect in the promo code.
According to the http://portal.xlr8gaming.net/?page=speakvisual-prizes page, the newegg item number is 14-133-170.
But the actual number of the GTX 260 is 14-133-270
Perhaps you guys can do something to resolve this issue?

PNY Forum Staff:

Thank you for catching this error i have contacted NewEgg to change the
number so now you can purchase the GTX 260 Core 216, this should be
live later today or tomorrow. If there are any other problems please
bring them up and we can get them corrected as soon as possible.

Re: Cheap PNY GTX260 @ Newegg

That's very misleading. When the promo code came up, it didn't work on the newegg page. I tried the code on the 260 (didn't work), but on the 275 it did....I think it's a scam to get people to join their forum/site. I doubt there is a $50 code. But hey if someone finds it, post it so we can all enjoy it.

Cheap PNY GTX260 @ Newegg

Hey guys!

I found this GREAT offer on the PNY XLR8 Website. I'd be really interested in the deal, but as you know Newegg doesn't ship here.

PNY are giving away around 1700 mystery discount codes if you use your XLR8gaming.net account to go this link: http://portal.xlr8gaming.net/?page=speakvisual

You have to use your account details to log in. After that you can play this spin the wheel game which will give you a Newegg Discount code for the PNY Store at Newegg (it may take some patience/luck). The codes come in 5,10 and 50 dollars, and you can only use them on certain PNY Video cards. (read the thread here for more info: Click Here)

So, the thing is, if you're lucky enough to score a $50 discount code, and redeem it on a PNY GTX 260 which is $175, it would only cost $125! And even better, the mail in rebate would bring it down another 20 dollars to ONLY $105!! The 260 also includes free shipping!

So if you guys are willing to be patient for a $50 code, you could get some serious GFX power for a seriously low price!

Imagine if you paid $210 for two 260s in SLI! Or $315 for Tri-SLI!

Hope you guys can make use of the offer.

Tank

Note: You can use the codes on other PNY Cards, but I think this is the best value for money.
