RAM went in easy as pie so in a lot of cases if it lacks in RAM you won't have much trouble. Although there is only one slot available for upgrade.....

I'll this this: its new, unique, tiny, and definately ULTRA-MOBILE but I would never use one for an everyday PC.

Re: Asus Eee PC 4G-X, Windows XP Unboxing Preview

IMO that is a bit to expensive for what it is. You can get a full fledged lappy with more RAM, more HD space and a faster cpu for alot cheaper. If you ask me they should at least have a model running one of the low end core2 duo mobile chips, at least as an option so you dont have to use that celeron piece of crap. Dell has a Latitude D 430 that is an ultra portable machine, and it is expensive, but it has a 1.2ghz core2 duo moible processor and it doesnt get that hot either. If they offered an option for a diff cpu in the Eee PC then i might be tempted to get one, but as long as it has a celeron in it you can count me out.

Re: Asus Eee PC 4G-X, Windows XP Unboxing Preview

I'd like more storage, but otherwise it's something I'd be interested in. They probably could have squezed a bit larger screen in, but the price doesn't allow for complaints. It's kind of depressing to think that that little thing probably runs faster than my desktop. It's amazing how far technology progresses in 5 years, not to mention how cheap older technology becomes.

RE: Asus Eee PC 4G-X, Windows XP Unboxing Preview

I wanna get an ultra-portable so bad!!!
