I agree with DigitalDD, the oil cooled rigs are the craziest ones. I love how the fans still move with no issues under the oil.

Whether if it was a competition or not, it was out of the blue. I want to say that Jen-Hsun Huang (co-founder of Nvidia) just walked around, found the worst looking build, and upgraded him. But my memory of reading this was really foggy. Either way, it was a huge Lan party event and you don't bring your worst rig to an event like that.

If you look at that second picture you can see how he mounted the motherboard -- very precariously. Props to him for the creative case design.

Since it was made in 2003 or 2004. I'm guessing he'd be using a 750W power supply, and I'm also guessing that he daisy chained the fans using molex cables. Here is a link to the case I'm talking about.

Probably not all the fans were plugged in or active, it was probably just the case of fans and a few needed to cool it was plugged in and active. There was that HDD case too :D.
